This song isn't on a studio album, so I'm gonna assume you've never heard
it and try to get across how to play it just using this tab......

The song's quite bright in terms of tempo and mood. It's 4/4 timing at
124 beats per minute. There's a bit of a Joan Armatrading 1975/6
influence here...(try the 'Back to the Night' album).

Overall, its an upbeat strummed guitar played over a bongo rhythm track.
The actual rhythm of the drum part isn't a million miles from
"Occasionally", but slightly faster (Occasionally is 119 bpm) and played
on a drum :>)


There are three sections to the guitar part- this first one makes up most
of the song....

First, get something that clicks 124 times a minute (or at least at a
steady rhythm)...this tab won't make much sense without following the
timing pretty close...

then, get the feel for the basic rhythm by playing this over and over
(using barred E shapes).....

Cut the bass notes short (at the ".") to give a funky(?) feel

In the last bar, delay the strums at the end to create an expectation for
the Db in the next bar


Once you've gotten that into your head...fill it out a bit by playing the
same thing but *also* hitting the string each side of the one you were
picking before......like this....
