how can I explain?/ for this trade it's too late/ to sail

these resounding sentiments continue bouncing around/ good 
luck and thank you for thinking hard enough to jet out of 
town/ set your poker face to stun/ maybe we'll meet up this
 month/ though I can't say I'm leaving any promises/ 
there's a good enough chance that you should bank on it
