How did you get out of the corner that you painted yourself
 into?
You said that you had done so.

Well, I hate to talk in metaphors but this time I would 
love
To tell you how I did

I just walked across the floor
Maybe I should have waited for the paint to dry
But I don't really know
I DON'T REALLY KNOW!

And she said "Just be yourself" and I replied "Look, I'm 
not paying you for this,
I heard that several years ago"

But she kept on repeating it and I couldn't believe they 
were right
That awful fast food chain

How come they knew before I did?
Some will say you learn it in school
But I don't really know
I DON'T REALLY KNOW!

She sits so peacefully, sits so peacefully, sits so 
peacefully, sits so peacefully in front om me

And she listens carefully, listens carefully, listens 
carefully, listens carefully to my feverish monologue
