Adaptation

Current estimates suggest that even a drastic decrease in 
CO2 emissions
Would be far from enough, even if it were politically 
feasible
Instead, one suggested technique for adaptation is solar 
geoengineering
Wherein particles of sulfur phosphate or calcium carbonate
Are injected into the atmosphere to repel sunlight
Possible side effects of this procedure include regional 
drought
Ocean acidification, and the prevention of photosynthesis 
in plants
