Salvation

Diadem

Hidden by the night, he had been laying there for no one
knows how long.
His wounds a reflection of his broken hopes (his bones
showed his soul). He was crushed to pieces until the day he
died, but his tale was not forgotten. His spirit will live
forever in the air, tainted by his love. Once sent on a
quest for salvation he left his home in grief. All he
claimed to be his own was left behind. He set out from our
town determined to change our lives. Tastes of Hell rotting
everything inside, on his quest for salvation that would
never end. A warrior dying for his land springs forth a
hero once reborn to save the people from decay, but it is
sad, sometimes he fails. Sometimes all is lost. Take me the
dead back from their home. An army long gone in life,
sentenced to death. Called back on this ride for freedom,
called back to fight. Unspeakable lust he couldn't let out
tortured his fathered soul. Days turned to weeks and years,
it was all an endless autumn's night. We knew it was real
on the night he fell screaming "Misery, why are you so nice
to me" Caught in his own madness he withered away; nothing
more. The village was lost, taken by disease for the hero
was no more. Sometimes I can't believe what pushes man to
bravery. Why did he even try All was already lost.
