In The Backyard

I heard it time and time before, the preacher's digging in 
our backyards in the dead of night. Looking for the demon 
boards to put them out there on the front porch like it 
came back to life. Yeah, like it came back to life. "Some 
folks say it's just a toy, but that board game can take 
your soul away," I heard my mother say it. "It's a gateway 
to the underworld," my old Baptist preacher swore as he 
took our family's tithes away. And once in a while, you can
 hear him digging in our backyards. Yeah, in the backyards.
 And once in a while, you can hear him. We are desperate 
boys and girls and we all need to ask our Ouija boards what
 the spirits have to say. Churches bought stock and stopped
 their wars and Jim Morrison talked again to all the goth 
kids from his grave. And once in a while you can hear him 
howl in the backyard.
