Lost Cause
He's breaking down
Wings are folded, head bowed to the ground
Without a sound
Feathers falling, in silence he sits down
Holds back the tears
For they will only wash any hope away
He tried to help
But heaven knows, he forfeited the game!

Now all is lost, and so is he,
His eyes reflect the crumbling ash
The fires burn, caress his face
With broken trust

Masses screaming and calling out his name
He turns away,
Too late to try, and blow away the flame
It spread too far,
Corrupting souls, and feeding on their sins
The sunset ends
Light fades away, the reign of night begins...
