Well I tried to forget
and I cried but I left
all my doubts far behind

Set my plans too high
and now I'm asking if I ever will abide
the loneliness that comes with pain from time to time
although the other option was to stay and hide

As I tried to forget
it made me cry but I left
all my life far behind

People often choose to give up
on their lives, don't ask me why
If surviving was enough
I wouldn't bother to be blind

But I wonder if those years will be worthwhile
cos I tried to forget
