I lived my own lie and I never asked the question why. Eu sempre falava e me vestia como todos ao meu redor. I always talked and dressed like everyone 'round me. Onde estavam minha maneira de ver e meus próprios pensamentos? Where were my own view and my own thoughts? Eu não tinha idéia. I didn't have a clue.
Insegurança, sem confiança era meu jeito. Insecurity, no confidence that's my style. Eu fiz algumas coisas erradas, você disse que eu tocava as cordas erradas. I did some false things, you'd say I was playing the wrong strings. Para perceber e ver o quanto eu estava perdido, levou um tempo. To realize and see how lost I was, it took a while. Mas foi válido porque agora eu estou muito mais confiante e apto. But it was worth it 'cause now I'm much more confident and fit.
Eu não estou descendo a estrada, I'm not going down the highway, pois eu tive a força para parar e dar meia volta antes que fosse tarde demais. 'cause I had the might to stop and turn around before it was too late. Em vez disso eu estou indo devagar pelo meu caminho e se eu não alcançar o topo, Instead I'm slowly going my way and if I don't reach the top, eu ainda tenho muitas coisas aqui que eu aprecio. I still got lots right here I appreciate.
Só porque eu estou mais velho agora não significa que estou completo. Just because I'm older now does not mean I'm complete. Eu ainda tenho medo, não é tão forte mas ainda está aqui. Yeah, I still have got fear, it's not as strong but it's still here. E eu às vezes fico confuso, mas agora eu sei onde pôr os meus pés. And I'm confused at times, but now I know where to put my feet. Bem no meu caminho, este é o único lugar se eu não quiser falhar. Right in my own trail, that's the only place if I don't wanna fail.
