Illfated
scavengers of suffering
Born with eyes
yet they can't see the truth
burning in spiritual agony

than a thousand eyes
behold
my pain
a timeless prison cell

wage war in my mind
as symbolic words
now fade to gray

Delusory words and thoughts now gone
the perchance to dream never denied
