When It Rains

The edge of those clouds up ahead mark the beginning.
The rain pours down thick enough to wash away everything.
Believe me, when it rains, it pours.

When time has come to an end and every wall is closing in.
When every minute is spent in uncertainty.
I become powerless.
I am pacing back and forth in my sleep.

Counting days and chances instead of sheep.
I have been fighting this sickness for so long and there is no end in sight.
