The foul taste of forbidden fruit rots forever on our tongues
Deceiver, tempting serpent, what has our passion wrought?
Forever made to suffer, in exile from the Garden
Bittersweet the taste of fruit, there’s no hope for pardon
Thou hast abandoned your creation to the whims of fancy
While angels and fallen demons vie for the souls of the weak and empty
Innocence lost forever, tempted by the fruit of knowledge
Pleas for mercy go unanswered prayers go unacknowledged

Why? Father!
If you truly are omnipotent then you knew that we would succumb
With this knowledge you condemn us to fall
so tell me who is the true deceiver?

Blissful ignorance, now gone for all eternity
Burdened with the knowledge of death
condemned by the father of enmity

Take us away on the wings of a prayer,
deliver us from material bondage and despair
Omnipotent being, the creator of all,
what has thou forsaken your creation to the fall?
Cast out of the Garden, and exposed to a cruel world,
before a host of lowly swine, you cast your finest pearls

Why hast thou forsaken us? Why hast thou abandoned us? DECIEVER!
