a wild capability
in all living things
who hold some amount
of composure

To become dismantled
to a point where we stop to function
are broken down
into our raw materials

We can explode
into ribbons
into soft scraps
making heavy piles
that quietly rest

All lips
can purse with blood
All eyes
can loosen unsocketed

Only some amounts
of vegetation
strung up
on electrical currents

We wait to gibber
chewing off our own lips
limbless
& squealing fluids
