I try to silence–
Push it down, lock the door
But the voices are strong
They've been here before
They know all the weak spots
The cracks in the floor

A rising tide inside my skull
A thousand thoughts that pull and pull
My head is burning–
A fever with no cure

But I don't give in
And I won't fall
This isn't your kingdom
It's my waking wall
You can scream and you can shout
Try to twist my mind inside out–
But this burning won't consume me
I'll wear the scars proudly

They whisper doubt like it's a fact
Paint all my future solid black
They use my voice, they wear my face–
But they can't erase the core they can't replace

Let my head burn
Let the fire rage
I'm not the kindling–
I'm the God of this cage

I, don't, give, in
And, I, refuse, to, fall
This mind is mine
This fight is my call
The voices can scream
The fire can spread–
But I am the master of the noise in my head

My head, is quiet
