The Shadows of life's bitterness covers my heart
Memories of a time full of poetry and warmth are fading
Unable to resist, darkness monopolises me
Controls my body like a grotesque puppet player

The cruelty of life is corrupting my mind
Overwhelmed by dark thoughts
Questioning myself
I wander through the winding paths of my bleeding soul

Trying to fight to the bitter end
Having the unplumbed depths of the human soul in mind
A last-ditch effort to overcome darkness fails miserable

All hope is gone
Vanished into thin air
