Another night has gone by
There's a light in the sky
But why am I awake
Why does my head turn
Why do my eyes burn
It's not killing me
And it sure is hard to take

Two friends of mine have left
They said boy, you're a mess
I know something must be wrong in your life

And I sure hope it doesn't stay
It's been a Monday
And that's a one day too long

There is nothing left to do today
