Chores are done
The tractors parked inside the barn
The cows are grazing in the fields
Horses in their stalls
Mom's cooking up a meal
That pigs sprung the dirt on my hand
It's on my hand

The sores and bumps on my body speak the work that I've done
Such a long day on the hard bench there will be long days in our eyes
It will be a long day tommorrow
The day is warm and I bring me a jump bring me a stump
Sittin up on the good fence tip my hat to nothing in particular
Just glad to be so simple
