Empathy placed in my lungs
No rest comes for this sorrow

Avoiding the obligation of sympathy
Caught up in ignoring the process
Convincing myself that I’ve suffered again
Suffered again

Outweighed sense of urgency began
Regression back to a time spent years ago

Still recently in mind
Overturned by ambition
Coddled by amorous paths
I never thought I would take
The storm front has passed
Regenerate
