A Soul Like Me

It's the summertime. It could be any time but there's a heat wave
There's no time for crime. We're so very safe
I got nowhere to go and no-one to see
Nothing to talk about anyway, so I'll walk today
I got so many debts and bills to pay
I'll try a new way

Across the sea, a soul like me
Needs some love, feeling sad and lonely

So I spend some time thinking

Again, it's so surreal, but again that's how I feel

Gazing on horizon
It's amazing how the rising waves never end

Staring at the waves (the infinite waves), I can see my friend
I wonder if your asking if the churning of the oceans ever ends
Now I'm worried for your soul
Hope it's not too late in asking, "How long can a man contemplate his fate?"
