And mushrooms of a blue flesh

They come upon a clearing

Of long-hidden giants
Clad in dew

Curls into their nostrils
Bidding them ascend
The crimson-marbled ladder
To the lip of the plant
Fell into its water
They become the spires
Of a half-digested
Steeple of small rodents
Drowned in prayer
