The thick cloud that nauseates my spirit
Impermanence and disgrace pulled into my lungs
Without formality, without deceit,
I force myself to breathe while my substance suffocates
The purpose of this death, the purpose of my life,
To kill again and again that which kills inside

Retreat, descend, withdraw and bury humanity
Fall back, attack, resign and forgo mortality
Breathe deep the overshadow
Worship the poison
I hear it echo in the dark
But I'm too afraid to search
If I wanted the end of this maddening voice

I'd nail it to a cross
Stationary misery
To remind me that life will end
Just like the saviors
And the dreamers of the flesh
But I want to keep it at bay
So I can learn to relate

I could never taint its meaning
This voice without faith
Stationary misery only mentions that life must end
I move forward indifferent
Guarded against the flesh retreat,
Descend, withdraw and bury humanity
