When life holds a sermon of confusion
Can't say why I'm adrift in this illusion
No words hold a fraction of my peace
Purpose became the lamb before the beast

My trials are not a matter to be questioned
My will, keeps me in its sacred bastion
Power struggles make us strong
No fate is set in stone

This life is the game I want to play
This life is the struggle to be won
My war to win my wage of sin
This fight to seize the day

The game of life rewards those who play
The game of life's too tragic to stay
True value is measured for those who find their way
It's the game of life

The friends I gained over the years
Were they worth the longing and the tears
All bonds were plagues within my mind
Were they a withered fragment of time

I see the value of this way
I know the purpose to be played
I'll take my place in this world
